Dear friends –
We need YOU on Saturday, MArch 4th from Noon-3pm as we come together from across many pipeline fights to stand up and declare: No More Pipelines!
This rally will be hosted on a beautiful organic farm in the Fishing Creek Watershed right outside of Bloomsburg, PA that is in the right of way of the Atlantic Sunrise Pipeline (see directions below). For almost three years the farmers have strongly resisted the building of a pipeline on their land and are committed to protecting Little Fishing Creek from pipeline construction.
Speakers to include members of Save Carbon County who will speak about their fight against the Penn East Pipeline and the Kidder Compressor Station. Also speaking is Elise Gerhart, from Juniata Watershed People Before Pipelines, who continues to resist tree clearing for the Mariner East 2 Pipeline on her family’s land in Huntingdon County.
There will be tours of the farm, community entertainment, a warming bonfire, and a free lunch. Join us for fellowship, prayer, song, and nature as we declare our promise of further resistance to this pipeline!
The Facebook event can be found here, please share:
Please reply to this email if you can volunteer the weekend before (Feb. 18 or 19) to set up and cut firewood.
See you there!
The rally is being planned by Hearts & Bones Farm, Columbia County Against the Pipeline, Shalefield Organizing Committee, Juniata Watershed People Before Pipelines, and Clean Air Council.
