Residents from 6 Counties on Pipeline Route Meet in Bloomsburg

IMG_0362On Sunday, March 29th, residents from 6 Pennsylvania counties met in Bloomsburg, PA to form a united front opposing the Atlantic Sunrise Pipeline and it’s potential impacts.

While many residents have spoken up locally, this marks the first meeting of it’s kind since the pipeline was announced in March of 2014. 30 residents, who live along the proposed pipeline’s route, gathered to coordinate various local efforts. The meeting consisted of an information session on FERC, eminent domain, and a strategy session to help coordinate local campaigns.

By unanimous decision, the group decided to unite in a state-wide coalition, with a goal to stop the pipeline from being permitted.
